You can perform the maintenance operations as follows. The ultrasound system should be cleaned regularly, or shorter intervals as appropriate. eSonic recommends the cleaning intervals as follows: | ||
---|---|---|
Parts | Recommended Cleaning Frequency | |
Monitor | Weekly, or as needed | |
Control panel | Daily, or between patients | |
Base plate and handle | Daily, or between patients | |
Air filter | Inspect weekly, lean or replace annually | |
Probe(clean and sterilization) | Between patients | |
It is prudent to continually survey the system for maintenance needs. Contact your ESI Sales or Service authorized representative for further details. | ||
Caution: | ||
If you have any questions regarding basic maintenance, or prefer to have maintenance service performed, contact your authorized ESI Service representative. Always press the On/Off switch, turn off the power switch at the back of the machine, and disconnect the system from the wall outlet before performing maintenance or cleaning the system. It is recommended that gloves and protective eyewear are used when cleaning the system. Biological hazards may exist if the transducer is not cleaned or sterilized properly. | ||
Warning: | ||
Before servicing or cleaning the system, always press the switch to turn off the power switch on the rear of the unit and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. An air filter that is too dirty will increase the internal temperature of the device and may cause the system malfunction during clinical use. Take special care when handling and cleaning the ultrasound transducer. Do not use damaged or defective transducers. Do not immerse or allow liquids soak into the transducer, as this may damage the surface or the cable sheath. |
